On April 27, 2023 the Kingsborough community gathered virtually for the 2023 Open Education Showcase. We kicked off with a keynote by Dr. Maha Bali, an internationally renowned speaker on Open Education, who led an interactive, provocative, and inspiring talk entitled “Towards Openness that Promotes Social Justice in Times of Uncertainty.” Two Kingsborough students and one alum then took the stage to educate their professors on the impact open educational practices has had on their learning and career practices.
