For the past year I have been working with Michelle Turnbull (Bergen Community College, formerly with KCC/College Now) on researching and writing an article about the benefits of creating OER in collaboration. Through our research for this article, we have come to understand that OER actually foster a collaborative spirit at every turn–from how OER are shared to the ways in which we interface with OER (shared annotation on platforms such as Manifold, etc).
